Troubleshooting Common Issues with T-Shirts

Shrinking Concerns

Prevent shrinking by washing in cold water and air drying. If shrinkage occurs, gently stretch the fabric while damp and lay flat to dry.

Color Fading

To combat fading, wash t-shirts inside out in cold water and avoid direct sunlight when drying. Use detergents designed for colored fabrics.

Stretched Necklines

Avoid hanging t-shirts, as the weight can stretch the neckline. Instead, fold them for storage. If the neckline stretches, wet the area and reshape it by hand.

Pilling Fabric

Pilling can be reduced by washing t-shirts inside out on a gentle cycle and using a fabric softener. Remove pills with a fabric shaver or a lint roller.

Stubborn Stains

Pre-treat stains with a stain remover before washing. For tough stains, soaking in a mixture of water and detergent can help lift the stain.

Distorted Graphics

Protect printed graphics by washing t-shirts inside out and on a gentle cycle. Avoid ironing directly over graphics.

If necessary, iron t-shirts inside out on a low heat setting to avoid damage to prints or embellishments.

Apply a mixture of baking soda and water to the affected area before washing to help remove yellowing.

Fabric Thinness

Prevent thinning by avoiding over-washing and using a gentle wash cycle. Rotate your t-shirts to ensure even wear.
